A couple in the kitchen in the morning – each lost in their own thoughts. A relationship crisis: being close, but not truly together.

When a relationship reaches a dead end, most people make the same mistake: they start trying on other people’s templates and universal recipes.

You may know this too. In search of a solution, you open articles with titles like “5 Steps to Harmony” or “How to Bring Passion Back,” ask your friends for advice, and listen to social media experts talking about healing childhood trauma, love languages, and the need to “just talk.”

You honestly try these recommendations. Sometimes it does feel better for a while. But then everything goes back to where it was, and you find yourself in the same place again: the problem is still there, and you feel as if you are hitting your head against a wall.

Why does this happen? Because relationships are far too individual to be fixed with someone else’s instructions.

3 Reasons Why General Advice Does Not Save Your Relationship

1. It is written for an “average” person, not for you

Your relationship is not an abstract model from a textbook and not an average case from a psychology article. You have your own life experience, your own character, expectations, fears, and deep needs.

What helped your friend save her marriage may not serve you. And what one specialist calls “healthy distance” could in your specific situation turn into emotional alienation that only speeds up the breakup.

2. It deals with symptoms, not the cause

You can learn to communicate better. You can take a pause, create distance, and try to “start with yourself.” All of this can be useful.

But if the very structure of your personal life already contains an inner contradiction between how you see your relationship and the relationship scenario that keeps unfolding in your life, behavioural advice alone may not be enough.

To choose the right strategy for solving the problem, you need to know the data of the “equation.” Simply changing partners with the thought that this time everything will  be different does not always work. There is a high risk of ending up in a similar scenario again, only with another person.

3. It does not answer the main question or give a precise forecast

When a person is going through a relationship crisis, they are not troubled by abstract theory, but by very concrete questions:

  • What is really happening between us?
  • What does my partner feel about me?
  • Do these relationships have a future?
  • What will happen in my life if I leave?
  • Will I regret it later?

This all leads us to one insight: general advice cannot really answer what matters to you and your specific situation. The mere attempt to "fix" yourself or simply change your partner is, at best, a shortcut to nowhere. What else can you do?

The individual Formula for Success

Every individual possesses unique talents and character traits that serve as a foundation and interact in diverse ways with their specific life situation. What brings harmony to one person may produce the exact opposite result for another. The art, therefore, lies in recognizing these interactions and finding an approach that truly works for you — and this is precisely where astrology can offer valuable support.

Astrology provides two different tools for this purpose:

  • the natal chart – when you need to understand your inborn patterns, unfolding scenarios, and use this information to build stronger relationships;
  • the horary chart – when you need to look precisely at what is happening in a specific situation and where it may lead.

Let us look at each method in more detail.

Method 1. Natal Analysis: Understanding Your Pattern and Hidden Contradictions

A natal chart is a person’s personal psychological and event-based code, set at the moment of birth.

In the area of relationships, it can become a precise tool that helps reveal the structure of your personal relationship pattern. And above all, it helps separate what people very often confuse.

The diagram shows two levels of relationships: the psychological level, meaning what a person wants and expects from a relationship, and the event-based level, meaning which situations and people are actually drawn into their life. A mismatch between these two levels can create a potential dead end in a relationship.

Two Levels That Should Not Be Confused

1. The psychological level

This is what you truly want from a relationship: how you see yourself, your partner, and the relationship itself.

2. The event-based level

This is about the scenarios life brings to you: which people, situations, and relationship formats are actually drawn into your life.

The Formula of an Inner Dead End

To put it simply, the problem of an inner dead end often lies in an inbuilt contradiction. For example:

  • a person may wholeheartedly strive for one family format, while their personal event-based scenario requires something completely different;
  • the “dream partner” with whom a person is ready to enter a serious relationship may be one type, while life keeps bringing a completely different type for marriage.

And this is not about being “unlucky.” You simply have your own event-based formula. If you take it into account instead of acting blindly, you have a much better chance of building a strong relationship.

What Natal Analysis Gives You

1. Understanding your real pattern

You begin to see why similar stories repeat in your personal life, what types of partners are drawn to you, and why the same themes keep resurfacing in relationships.

2. Understanding your inner contradictions

It becomes clear where your expectations and reality diverge, what you are looking for, where your comfort zone lies, and what scenario actually gets activated.

3. The chance to stop acting blindly

When you see your relationship formula, you gain the chance to change your strategy consciously instead of choosing “the lesser of two evils.” You begin to understand which format of relationship suits you and what needs to be adjusted within yourself so that you do not end up in the same dead end again.

4. Freedom from unnecessary guilt and illusions

Natal analysis helps you stop demanding the impossible from yourself and stop expecting from your partner something that, due to their character, they may simply be unable to give you.

A Case from Practice

Ekaterina had always wanted an official marriage. When her dream came true and she became a lawful wife, it seemed that only happiness lay ahead. But after several years of family life, the relationship reached a dead end, and she came to me with a question about how to save it.

At first glance, there was nothing to complain about. Her husband was a good person. And Ekaterina even found it difficult to formulate what exactly was wrong: life had become boring, roles had become habitual, feelings were fading, and she was becoming more and more distant from her husband.

“What is wrong with me if everything seems to be fine?” – this was the question she brought to the consultation.

During the analysis, it became clear that her event-based marriage scenario did not fit well with strict limitations, patriarchy, and routine. According to her chart, in marriage and relationships it was vital for her to respect personal space – both her own and her partner’s. In her case, the relationship required a certain degree of freedom and more unconventional “rules of the game,” although Ekaterina herself subconsciously held on to the official stamp in the passport and the classic distribution of roles within the couple.

The problem was also that the energy of the planet responsible for marriage in Ekaterina’s chart was unfamiliar to her. That is why the very idea of, for example, a civil partnership or greater freedom for both partners within the union was something she strongly resisted.

However, the event-based component must be taken into account: it will manifest anyway, even if psychologically we feel more comfortable with a familiar, “standard” format.

When Ekaterina saw this, she understood that she was ready to reconsider her views on the situation in her marriage. Of course, it is not easy to immediately understand how to break old patterns and what exactly needs to change. But during the consultation, she received many concrete examples and options for how to transform “the classic model” into a more alive format that suited her personally. Ekaterina felt inspired, accepted these suggestions as a guiding direction, and began to think in a new way. And in her relationship, it was as if life began to return.

Method 2. Horary Analysis: A Reading of a Specific Situation

If the natal chart is like a map of the territory and shows your general relationship pattern, needs, possibilities, and repeating tendencies, then the horary chart helps you find a specific point on that map and see where the path from it is leading.

The diagram shows the difference between natal analysis and horary reading: the natal chart reveals the relationship pattern, needs, and repeating tendencies, while horary astrology gives a focused answer about a specific situation.

Unlike the natal chart, horary does not examine a person’s entire life. It looks at one specific situation: this partner, this relationship, this crisis, this choice.

A horary chart is cast for a specific question asked at a specific moment. That is why precise wording is especially important here: not an abstract “what is happening in my personal life,” but a clear question about the situation that truly concerns you right now.

Examples of Relationship Questions You Can Bring to Horary Astrology

  • Does this relationship have a future?
  • Will my partner come back, and if so, when?
  • Is this person interested in continuing the relationship?
  • Will this connection lead to marriage?
  • Is it worth waiting for this person?

One of the most frequent questions in practice is: “How will our relationship develop?”

Although the question sounds simple, the horary chart can help reveal a great deal:

  • how the partners relate to each other and how interested each of them is in continuing the relationship;
  • what each partner truly wants in this relationship;
  • what circumstances or inner contradictions are blocking the relationship;
  • how the dynamic may change in the near future;
  • what events may influence the couple and where the situation is ultimately leading.

This is exactly the kind of information that helps you understand the current situation and decide for yourself where and how to move next.

At the same time, it is important to understand that horary does not make decisions for a person. It does not say, “You must leave” or “You must stay.” Its task is different – to show the real picture of the situation so that the person can stop acting blindly.

Natal or Horary Analysis: Which One Should You Choose?

Natal and horary astrology are not interchangeable. They complement each other very well:

  • natal analysis gives you the foundation, the understanding of yourself and your relationship formula;
  • horary analysis helps you see what is happening in a specific situation right now.

Both branches of astrology can give you something that universal advice, other people’s experience, and general psychology articles cannot give: an understanding of your specific situation.

And when you see what you are truly dealing with, it becomes much easier to find a way out of a difficult situation.

Important: astrological analysis does not replace psychotherapy, legal help, or real action in situations involving violence, threats, dependency, pressure, or risk to children. In such cases, safety and professional support always come first.

Astrology can help you see the picture more clearly, but the decision and the responsibility for it always remain with the person.

Main Conclusion: A Crisis Is Not the End, but a Point of Rebuilding

Very often, a dead end in a relationship is a signal that old behaviour patterns no longer work, while you have not yet learned a new way. And if your relationship path has indeed led you into a dead end, then, as in any labyrinth, there is a way out.

But instead of rushing around this labyrinth, wondering where to go next, asking for advice, and reading yet another psychological analysis online, you can turn to individual diagnosis.

When you clearly see your true patterns and the real state of affairs, a natural way out of the dead end appears. Not because the stars will decide for you, but because you will finally see the picture as it is and understand what exactly to do next.
